Terms of service.

These terms govern your use of Maki (maki.wf). We've kept them short, honest, and skimmable. If anything is unclear, email us — we'd rather fix the wording than litigate it.

01Welcome

Maki ("we", "us") provides a personal profile service at maki.wf. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Maki — that's totally fine, no hard feelings.

Use of Maki = agreement to these terms. They're short on purpose.

02Your account

You need an account to claim a maki.wf URL. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country, whichever is higher). One person, one account. We'll deactivate duplicate accounts created by the same user without notice.

You're responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything that happens under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us immediately — we will help you regain control.

03Your content

Your bio, links, avatar, music, status and anything else you put on your page — that's your content. You own it. You're also responsible for it.

You give us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, cache, resize and serve your content to people who visit your page. We don't sell it. We don't train models on it. We don't use it in ads.

Plain version: your stuff stays yours. We only do the things we need to do to actually display your page.

04Acceptable use

Don't use Maki for:

  • Illegal activity, fraud, scams, doxxing, or stalking.
  • Hate, harassment, threats, or targeted abuse against any individual or group.
  • Sexual content involving minors, or any non-consensual sexual content. Zero tolerance.
  • Spam, phishing, malware, or links that try to compromise visitors.
  • Impersonating a real person or organization in a way that could mislead others.
  • Scraping the service, reverse-engineering it, or hammering our infrastructure.

We take this list seriously and enforce it manually — appeals go through our Discord or email.

05Usernames & domains

Usernames are first-come, first-served. We may reclaim usernames that are inactive for 12 months or longer, infringe trademarks, or are abusive. We try not to touch active accounts.

Premium / vanity usernames may be reserved for verified individuals (e.g. elon, billie). If you believe a username belongs to you, contact us with proof and we'll review.

07Suspension & deletion

You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard. We'll remove your page, your content and your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms, especially the "Acceptable use" section. We'll usually warn you first; for serious violations (CSAM, doxxing, malware) we won't.

08Warranties & liability

Maki is provided as-is. We do our best to keep it online and fast, but we don't promise zero downtime, perfect security or that the service will be available in every country forever.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, our liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months (so, often, zero). We're not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages.

09Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms — for example to add a new feature, comply with a new law, or fix unclear wording. If the change is material, we'll notify you in-app or by email at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continued use after that means you accept the new terms.
